WHAT IS PFA?
PFA, or Perfluoroalkoxy, is a type of synthetic fluoropolymer material that is known for its exceptional chemical resistance and high-temperature stability. PFA is a member of the fluoropolymer family, which also includes materials like polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP). Here are some key characteristics of PFA material:
-
Chemical Resistance: PFA exhibits outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemicals, acids, and bases. It can withstand exposure to corrosive substances, making it suitable for use in harsh chemical environments.
-
High Temperature Resistance: PFA has a high melting point and can withstand temperatures ranging from -200°C (-328°F) to 260°C (500°F). This high-temperature stability makes it suitable for applications where elevated temperatures are encountered.
-
Non-Stick Properties: Like other fluoropolymers, PFA is non-stick and has a low coefficient of friction. This property makes it ideal for use in applications where low friction or easy release of materials is required.
-
Electrical Insulation: PFA is an excellent electrical insulator and has a low dielectric constant. This makes it suitable for use in electrical and electronic components.
-
UV Resistance: PFA is resistant to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, which means it can be used outdoors without significant degradation from sunlight exposure.
-
Flexibility: PFA is a relatively flexible material, allowing it to be used in applications that require some degree of flexibility or conformability.
-
Transparency: PFA is transparent, which can be advantageous in applications where visual inspection or clarity is necessary.
-
FDA Approved: PFA is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for certain food contact applications, making it suitable for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
-
Low Friction: PFA has a low coefficient of friction, which makes it useful for applications such as bearings, seals, and gaskets.
-
Machinability: PFA can be machined, cut, and fabricated into various shapes and forms, making it versatile for manufacturing processes.
PFA is commonly used in industries such as chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, electronics, food processing, and semiconductor manufacturing due to its exceptional properties. It is often used for making gaskets, seals, liners, valves, tubing, and other components that require resistance to harsh chemicals and high temperatures.
PRODUCTION WORKSHOP:
Our PFA products are manufactured in a clean workshop of IS014644-1 class 7 (OR, the US Federal 209E standard 10000), and cleaned and packed in a clean workshop of IS014644-1 class 5 (Or, the US Federal 209E standard 100).
Our PFA raw material is semiconductor grade , which meets the SEMI F57 ion precipitation requirements;
Maximum Operating temperature: 200°C .
